I'm as fond of toast as the next person

But does anyone else find the thought of offering fresh toast, or carrying around a toaster on a tray at parties a little odd?

    Two things: Pretty sure that's just a Mary Martin, not the Mary Martin.
    Also "When the last rubber had been played..." has a whole different meaning now.
