Not to toot my own horn, but hell who else is going to do it?. The weeks in the gym have been successful. I am once again below 9% body fat. Now all I need to do is stop working so many shifts, get out of my catering uniform and take the frame out and show it off. After all that lifting and cardio I’d like to see some tactile results………

Another beautiful summer day outside, another catering work shift keeping me inside!!!! So much for summer vacation being all fun in the sun! I wonder what it's like to survive on one salary and have time for a social life? Of course that kind of fantasy only holds true on planets where they pay librarians a livable wage......

New York, New York
Even Better news for the summer! A good friend and now former co-worker has taken a job in New York starting July 1st. I've finally achieved a free place to stay in the big apple making trips there MUCH less costly!!!!! Given my druthers I’d settle down there over Boston in a heartbeat!
See you on the beach!
HOT DAMN! Today's my last day at the old grind until sometime in August! Not a moment too soon as we're suffering a heat wave. The library I work in was built for air conditioning but never had it installed, thus we work in a glass box of hermitically sealed windows. Once the temp reaches over 80 it's like being held prisoner in an EZ Bake oven! The first year I worked here the fire alarm system went off. The temperature got so high inside that the sensors believed the building was on fire! The perfect environment to store 50, 0000 books! (And one cranky librarian)

84 Charing Cross Road
Looks like it’s time to pull out my copy of “84 Charing Cross Road”(signed of course!) and reread it yet again. I belong to a yahoo group dedicated to keeping Miss Hanff’s memory alive and there’s been quite a lot of buzz from new members who have just discovered her book(s).
It makes me sentimental to dip into them myself. Each title is like an like an old friend you can touch base with infrequently but your friendship just picks up from where you left off.

He-Man
You know I wouldn't mind trading in my current weight lifting/cardio schedule for 10 minutes a day without strain.....
