In the weeds.
It was my first day as Library Director yesterday. I was told my arrival date coincided with the packing and shipping of our book collection prior to construction. When it did not happen I asked the staff who knew nothing about it. The longest serving librarian gave her notice last week and will be retiring this Friday. One of my three part time librarians landed a full time job and will be leaving the same day. My other full time Librarian remotely announced she will be most likely out on disability for another month or two The Financial Aid office announced they've used up the school's allotted funds for the semester so I lost my dozen Federal Work Study positions. All of this coincided with the dean announcing the library will be open (AND STAFFED!) for extended hours during finals week .
Surprisingly I did not drink. Yet.

My bum knee has me out of commission but I'm anxious to start gardening!
Can someone recommend a good handyman?
Why I'm so hard of hearing
Ask anyone who grew up In Eastie what the noise from the Logan runways was like. In summer when the windows were open you had to pause all dinner conversation(NOT an easy task in an Italian-American family) until each plane was done passing overhead,

In transition
I gave my notice at the Culinary School today. I've been offered the Library Director's position at a tradition residential college campus.
And speaking of culinary....
Things have come to a standstill work out wise. I've been having some crippling leg/knee pains recently. Turns out I've developed a Baker's cyst. I DON"T recommend them! They're quite painful despite the high carb sounding name. I'm facing at lest six weeks of physical therapy but at least I'm getting better.
