Weeding is always a lot more work than people think. My aunt in San Francisco has long and narrow backyard that was overgrown with shrubs and weeds. We tried doing it ourselves, but it was like hacking into a jungle. My aunt finally had to get professionals to clean it all out. Mind you the back of her house is on a hill side, so from her living room deck it’s three flights of stairs and landings to get to her backyard! -Rj
That is simply the nature of weeding. You tell yourself you're just going to tidy up around the edges and an hour later it's like something out of the Grapes of Wrath.
