Which would you choose?

Growing up in our triple Decker in East Boston, all three kitchens were pristine Italian whiteI've always been very partial to them due to childhood memories.

1945 American Gas Association Kitchen
American Gas Assocaition Kitchen 1945

1946 American Gas Assn - Buffet Kitchen
American Gas Assocaition Kitchen 1946

Of the two I think I prefer the 1946 kitchen with its muted rose and blue tones.  And it does seem to be lacking evidence of a child, hence no thumb prints.  Although the 1945 kitchen does seem to get better light and offer a more formal garden view.  In either case dig those stoves!!!!

Pope Francis: Who am I to judge gay people?

Pope Francis speaks to reporters during flight from Brazil

The Pope spoke candidly and off-the-cuff
Pope Francis has said gay people should not be marginalised but integrated into society.

True in any language!

But it just sounds better in German...

A few of the key phrases:

"Now that she's married, any woman who thinks she can rest on her laurels is wildly mistaken.

On the contrary, a man wants to be daily won anew!  That's how we men are, that's what we're

used to, and that's how we want to have it."

"Baking creates joy!  And here She has it better than Him.  SHE MAY BAKE."  [that's "may" as in "has permission to"]

"Better hurry now, Peter will be there soon and he could eat a horse."

"We all know, of course, that a woman has only two questions in her life:

1) What shall I wear today?

and
2) What shall I cook for dinner?

"The most important thing for him is the PUDDING."

"You know, men who like eating sweets are men of good character.

"Cake makes us men soft and manageable.  That new dress can easily cost $100 more, no problem!"

Judy Robinson's future descendant

Apparently hats make a come back  in the 25th century

Sorry

I STILL don't get the atrraction

Any guess as to what she's guzzling down?

Eartha Kitt backstage, 1959,

Eartha Kitt, backstage. 1959

At first I thought she was holding a perfume bottle, (a way I've imported contraband liquor myself) but that's definitely not a perfume lid she has in her other hand.

Joan or Roz?

From IMDB: "Domineering Harriet Craig holds more regard for her home and its possessions than she does for any person in her life. Among those she treats like household objects are her kind husband Walter, whom she has lied to about her inability to have children; her cousin Claire, whom she treats like a secretary; and her servants whom she treats like slaves."

For my money it's the role Joan lived.  But Rosalind Russell actually breathes a little sympathy into the broken character in the end.

Which version do you all  prefer?

I'm partial to the Cerise

But I wouldn't say no to the butter dish in Paris pattern.

Lenny

I met Lenny while working room service at the Boston Copley Plaza.  He's very particular about how thin his turkey is sliced.

Running though my head

Maybe it's  the apres dental surgery vicodin talking.  Things aren't that bad but I can't shake the tune.

Just imagine what you could do with him

He does look rather in need of a pleasant diversion
