I can tell you what it's like in our house. Husbear is usually parked in the middle of the couch with the TV and his laptop on. I'll sit down in my 25+ year old comfy rocker/recliner and I'll look at the TV and I'll look at him, I'll look at the TV and I'll look at him and then I'll look at the TV and I'll look at him. I'll say "are you watching this"? And he'll do one of three things: Ignore me, say yes or dig out the remote from under his arse and hand it to me. Sometimes, I just avoid asking the question because I know what the answer will be (when I see it's RuPaul's Drag Race or Chopped or a show about designing clothes or furniture or about elves, dwarfs or princesses) and I go upstairs and watch TV in the bedroom. Once in while I open up my laptop and do financial stuff and watch porn. Just being honest.
At my place, it's "the" man who control the remote control.
