Formative Influence


Watched early and often in my childhood.  



Yes, I bought the album (on vinyl). Yes, I know all the words to every song.

And yes, I wanted to eat at the Harmonia Gardens and be Dolly Levi.  You realize of course that the waitstaff could have sung Hello Tony! just as easily as Hello Dolly!

On a related sad and disconcerting note, I only found out just recently that Danny Lockin, "Barnaby Tucker" in Hello Dolly was the victim of a hate crime ending his life much too soon.
