A convoluted plot, Nowhere near enough monster views, or scares, and a little but of beefcake , but it passed some time this weekend, 

But on the same Inter-Library-Loan bill....

Much Much better movie viewing! Although the poster doesn't do it justice.

Featuring the smart theater set pf New York, made up of Roz Russell, Sydney Greenstreet, Clarie Trevor, and a young Martha Hyer. what wasn't to like?

Joan or Roz?

From IMDB: "Domineering Harriet Craig holds more regard for her home and its possessions than she does for any person in her life. For my money it's the role Joan lived.  But Rosalind Russell actually breathes a little sympathy into the broken character in the end.

Which version do you all  prefer?

TCM aired Picnic last night

For my money Roz Russell fully deserved a win for her Oscar nomination.  Her character Rosemary, the old maid school teacher always scared me.  I could see myself ending up like her had I not changed my ways
