We are going hunting tonight.

Wish us luck........

Have we ever seen them together at the same time???

Think about it.......

Dash Riprock

Just say "prruuuuune"

Ann Margrock

Remember her name.

Whos that eatin that nasty fruit?

I would constantly ask this question, apropos of nothing, while at work. Surprisingly (or not, I worked in a office full of middle aged lily white librarians) no one ever got the answer right..

Which one are you?

To quote Grover.....

Gratuitous flesh....

We took a a few assessment shots at the gym yesterday. I'm very happy to say, that after several years of hard work, I am finally beginning to see the size and definition I've been striving for!

Bo and Luke Duke

As far as I'm concerned the entire crux of the show is captured in this little montage,a t lest the entire reason that I was watching it as an impressionable youth......

For God's sake! Go with venetian blinds!!!

I am spending my morning, (recovering from lat night''s pre-birthday celebration) at home going thorugh my TIVO log, I'd forgotten I had even recoreded the The Cobweb (1955)

Ye gods what a mess of a movie, despite the impressive cast:

At an exclusive psychiatric clinic, the doctors and staff are about as crazy as the patients. The clinic head, Dr. Stewart McIver, thinks that it would be good therapy for his patients to design and make new drapes for the library. Mrs. Karen McIver, who is neglected by her hardworking husband (and a bit unbalanced herself), wants to make her mark on the clinic, so she orders new drapes. Miss Inch, the business manager, who has been with the clinic longer than anyone, sees this as an intrusion into her territory, and she too orders drapes. All this puts everyone in a dither, as they fight over drapes and clinic politics. Written by John Oswalt {jao@jao.com}

Much Love, Much Thanks!!!

A long time ago in a lonely dusty cubical a bored little librarian started a blog, inspired by the many blogs he had been reading, not the least of which was, and still is, Stirred straight up with a twist, a beautiful, educational, and erudite piece of heaven on the web.

Today I was very touched by the following shout out from it's divine creator, the well dressed, easy on the eyes, Mr. TJB! Thanks babe.

Narcissistic question

Okay, here's my latest, chosen among oh SO many, rant.

Since I've been laid off I've been hitting the gym, let's face it in the past five years I've never given up a chance to hit the gym, pound the gym, try to beat the gym into a submissive pulp.

Also since I've been laid off I've actually had some free time. this means that I am able to go out and socialize. My new part time job waiting tables has gotten me out into the public view a bit more and thankfully after a long long hiatus my social life has picked up a bit. Now, I am not talking much here, but it's a hailstorm for me.

However, here is the fly in my self centered tube of ointment. I've been accused of being to body obsessed, both in viewing mine and potential candidates. So I'm posing the question thus

I've worked long and hard to put together what I assume is a decent package to tempt...how vain is it of me to expect something similar in return?

Boynton Beach Police arrest woman in muder for hire plot

If all the cops in Boynton Beach look like this arresting officer it might be worth committing a crime....

Clubbing

In an attempt to get my depressed unemployed ass out of the house, I tried going out this past Friday night. Except for the dancing, the results were not dissimilar.....

'The Taking of Pelham 123' (1974)

While stuck at home today, recovering from a NOT very fun medical procedure I came across this oldie but goodie in my On Demand cable package.

I remember seeing it years ago on television and it's always been stuck in my memory banks. Featuring Walter Mathau, Jerry Stiller, Martin Balsam and a brief appearance by Doris Roberts, it still makes for good watching.

Save the Earth from Godzilla vs Hedorah

As if life wasn't tough enough lately, I've found myself humming this little tune quite often. Thank you Creature Double Feature.

You know we never ever do nothin nice and easy.....

We always do it nice and rough........

It's the plumber. I've come to fix the sink!

Invariably if you had asked "Who is it?"in my childhood, and either my brother or I happened to be in the room. This would have been the answer followed by gales of laughter.

Good times!

I can't come in today...

....my uterus fell out. Even worse I'm experiencing the dreaded "whites"

Still standing

"Faneuil Hall, Boston, c. 1903." Detroit Publishing glass negative. via:http://www.shorpy.com/

Now more commonly called Faneuil hell by the locals. What started out as a great public rejuvenation project(the building had gone severely down hill for years) housing local artist shops and restaurants run by local chefs is now just one big mall offering the standard shops and the joy of walking on cobblestones. I worked here for a summer the first time I was laid off twenty two years ago. I am desperately hoping to avoid stooping to retail again, but then I remember eve retail isn't hiring in this down economy....

The past is never pretty

Many many years ago I drank, and I drank a lot! It made me fat, it made me mean and it made me loud. I decided to stop as I still wanted some people to like me, particularly the good looking and the well built.

As if the startled dear in the headlights look from strangers that I stiill get to this day weren't bad enough, (sorry folks) my good friend Joy has captured this stroll from pub to pub for posterity

Hazah!

Well we are happy to report that it finally rained round here last night! After such a long drawn out dry spell that truthfully I'd lost count and cannot remember if it's been two years or three years since I last experienced some rain.
Let's hope that a wet weather pattern will be settling in.....

Just like Grandma used to say.....

So last night while working at the cafe, I used the expression "I'm all over it, like white on rice!" only to be asked to explain what that meant. That was fine until a little later when a patron dropped a fork and I announced company was coming, and again had to explain what THAT meant.

I'm starting to feel a little old around my co-workers.......

I'm not ashamed to admit...

that way back in the day i had a bit of a crush on Glenn Campbell. But, am I the only one to notice a certain similarity to a young Santa Claus as portrayed by Rankin/Bass?

And if she got married.....

Her name would be Mrs. Cissy!

Mrs Beasley

I'm still trying to figure it out....
