Completed in 1963, the Christopher Inn in downtown Columbus, Ohio, was a striking example of mid-century modern architecture. Its cylindrical design included wedge-shaped rooms with custom-made furniture and unique angled corners. Designed by Karlsberger & Associates and Leon Ransom, the first notable African American architect in Columbus, the Christopher Inn was demolished in 1988. Vintage postcard, photographer unknown

Architects in Hungary copied this building when they built the cylindrical Hotel Budapest in Budapest in 1967.
I grew up in Columbus Ohio and fondly remember The Christopher Inn. Commercials always advertised their Lounge and heated swimming pool.
