When my late ex husband died - it was a suicide and there was blood everywhere (quite literally) - we were going through his things and came across one his most cherished possessions - a letter that Dr. Smith wrote to him back in the 1960s. Evidently, husband had sent him a letter requesting an autographed picture, and in turn, the actor sent back a lovely note and a picture. The picture was up on the wall. But he kept the letter separate.
My ex sister in law asked if I would like it, but it really needed to go to the ex nephew.
