Formative influence

I can't remember what age I was when I stumbled across The Opposite Sex on TV But I must have been fairly young.  I DO remember that I realized it was  a color remake of The Women and not much of an improvement on the original. I sat through the dreary musical numbers and technicolor for a few high lights: Anne Miller!, Endora from Bewitched! And then suddenly Dolores Gray made her entrance in that lace triple bouffant dress complete with head wrap clinging to her svelte form, half Mata Hari, half cobra. I was mesmerized by it.  For years afterward I wondered if it was something I made up until I caught the movie on television yet again.
