Having been hit by a bus and been fortunate enough to survive I can't NOT spread the word! Be careful on the road folks and watch out for each other!

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDR) is commemorated on the third Sunday of November each year – to remember the many millions killed and injured on the world’s roads, together with their families, friends and many others who are also affected. It is also a Day on which we thank the emergency services and reflect on the tremendous burden and cost of this daily continuing disaster to families, communities and countries, and on ways to halt it.

Thankfully, you survived to tell the tale and caution others.

As a pedestrian and cyclist, I face this danger everyday and have had many close calls, even when I was obeying the traffic rules and proceeding with caution.

And everyday, I see drivers on their phones, texting instead of watching the road.

Thanks for spreading the word.

Thank you both Mistress and Raineette,

AS fate would have it , I heard from one of they guys I work out with most mornings at the gym that he was hit by a car (thankfully not hurt) while crossing in a crosswalk Sunday. It never ends...
