Movie costumes not only went on to be used in other films, but they were also frequently used again for promotional photos. This black beaded gown, designed by Travilla, was first worn on Jane Russell as Dorothy Shaw in the 1953 film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and then was used again several years later on Sheree North in a publicity photo for the studio. Interestingly, it appears that the same brooch was used on the gown as well.
